How did I get here? -- 2 WIP They reeked and were full of holes. Had this seemed like a good idea to me at some point? I tried to tell myself that I was being forced to do this, that I had been tricked into coming here somehow, but it felt like this was my own idea. I looked over at Summers, who was busy getting a pebble out of his shoe. Then I looked down at the makeshift raft I was standing on. The odor of the rotting wood I stood on went unnoticed until a few minutes ago, and now it was giving me a headache. How did I get here? -- 1 Isn't it ideal? The thought of adventure? The thrill of being out in the open, in a place you have never seen before, heard before, felt before, and thinking of that feeling of conquest and fulfillment is enough to get most people a bit excited.
